As part of our commitment to the community and thanks to The National Lottery Community Fund, we are going to create a Young People's Mural project for Ipswich!
The Ipswich Waterfront area will be brightened up even more. The fifth mural project for Art Eat will be led by the established British artist EVEWRIGHT and young people in Ipswich in collaboration with local youth and community organisations Swerve Sunday Ipswich,4YPSuffolk Young People's Health Project, Catch 22, Future Female Society, South Street Kids, Outreach Youth & Suffolk Libraries
The theme for the mural will be Heroes (thank you Ryan Hegartyfor this idea) and it will be painted by the artist, workshop participants and members of the wider community - you are all invited!
Let’s celebrate the end of lockdown with an energetic mural paint-up! Evewright is really great to work with, he’s confident and very very kind. If you don't want to paint please consider just popping down and saying hello.
Iona says: “We are excited about working with the young people of Ipswich to create another mural for the town and brighten up the urban spaces around the waterfront."
The workshops will take place in June (online) and the paint-up, all being well, will take place in July. Check the website and our social media channels for updates (links are at the bottom of this email)
