School workshops took place outdoors in Moreland Community Primary School, a forest school with a lovely piece of woodland. Art Eat was invited to find eco artists or artists who make work from the natural environment, the brief was to lead creative activities around the theme of ‘feeling safe’
The artists who Art Eat engaged The Nest Project in community and school settings, who create art and sculpture outside with natural and recycled materials
The artists came for 4 sessions and created with the children an amazing array of nests and dens for the children to sit in, small creatures to hide in secret places around the woodland, tiny homes for the children’s toys, teddies and dolls, as well as uplifting music and poetry sessions.
