
We're looking for a Volunteer Coordinator to come on board at ART EAT Events CIC.
Playing a key role in the festival: the volunteer coordinator will be recruiting, coordinating and managing the needs of festival volunteers. Prior to the festival weekend you will promote your recruitment drive through Art Eat Festival community meetings and mural projects. You will be attending and scheduling meetings, and updating social media platforms with information relevant to volunteers. During the festival you will be managing communications with volunteers, organising breaks and shift rotation, making sure any absences are covered and overall making sure volunteers are happy and cared for.
Duties Include:
Promoting the festival and associated events in order to meet potential volunteers
Working with project partners in order to enlist volunteer teams
Recruiting, coordinating, training and supervising volunteers
Working with event organisers and the health & safety co-ordinator to identify where & when volunteers are needed and ensuring targets are met.
Scheduling meetings, writing and distributing timetables
Preparing operating policies and procedures and collating relevant documentation.
Attending regular meetings and events
Engaging with social media platforms
Essential Attributes
Experienced in a similar role or some experience in recruitment and management
Experience of working at events
Energetic team player
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Proficient in the use of G-Suite, Spreadsheets, Word etc.
Accurate record keeping
Excellent organisational skills
Excellent networking skills
Innovative, driven, and able to work independently
